Dubble Bubble
Dubble Bubble
The Dubble Bubble gum was created in 1928 by Walter Diemer, an accountant for the Fleer candy company, who claimed to have stumbled upon the recipe by accident. At the time, the gum featured a comic strip featuring brothers Dub and Bub (replaced in 1950 by Pud).
In 1998, Concord Confections acquired the Fleer company, securing the Dubble Bubble brand as part of their portfolio. Concord's prized brand, Dubble Bubble, was the first bubble gum on the market, and continues to hold a preeminent position in the category. The famous crown & oval logo remains a classic icon of American popular culture.
Dubble Bubble joined the Tootsie family in 2004, adding its standing to the world's favourite candy lineup.
