About us
Regal Confections
The company was founded in 1962 in Montreal by Walter Neufeld under the name Regal Crown, which became Regal Imports Ltd shortly after.
Originally an importer of European confectionery and cookies, the company quickly expanded by adding key departments: packaging, marketing and product development. By 1987, the company officially changed its name to Regal Confections.
Over the past sixty years, Regal Confections has gained exclusive distributor rights to some of the industry’s most prestigious brands. The company specializes in the distribution of nostalgic brands such as Tootsie Roll, Dubble Bubble, Ring Pop®, McCormicks, PEZ and Rockets, to name a few, and distinguishes itself through seasonal innovation.
In addition, Regal Confections markets a wide range of licensed products such as Disney, Lucasfilm, Emoji, Laura Secord, NHL, Mattel, MGA, Nickelodeon, Universal, DreamWorks and Illumination.
National presence
Regal Confections has a Canada-wide sales force operating out of Laval (Quebec), Mississauga (Ontario), Woodbridge (Ontario), Calgary (Alberta), Fredericton (New Brunswick) and Mount Pearl (Newfoundland).
The company's customer base includes warehouse clubs, wholesalers, grocery stores, drugstores, convenience stores, mass merchants, bulk food stores, dollar stores and independent specialty stores.
During peak season, the company employs over 500 people across 12 locations throughout Canada (offices, warehouses, manufacturing, packaging & repacking facilities).
Our divisions
Throughout the years, Regal Confections has launched its packaging & repacking department, and has acquired several companies in Canada. These strategic acquisitions have allowed Regal to become a manufacturer, to diversify its product offering, to strengthen its presence across Canada as well as in certain distribution channels, to increase its visibility in the United States, and to become your seasonal specialist.
